Terms of Service

Last updated 13 August 2026

The agreement between you and Digital Moran Academy. Short, and in plain language — you should be able to read it.

1. Who we are

Digital Moran Academy is operated by Digital Moran, Nairobi, Kenya. By creating an account here, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Your account

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • Give us accurate details. Your full name in particular is printed on any certificate you earn, so enter it as you want it to appear.
  • Your account is yours alone. Do not share your password or let others use it — activity under your account is treated as yours.
  • Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.

We may suspend an account that breaches these terms, and will tell you why.

3. What it costs

Nothing. Every course, download and resource on Digital Moran Academy is free. We do not charge fees, take payments or hold card details, and there is no payment step anywhere on this platform.

Because nothing is sold, there is nothing to refund. If you are unhappy with a course, tell us and we will fix it — that is the whole remedy, and it is the one we would rather give.

We may add paid offerings in future. If we ever do, they will be clearly marked as such and these terms will be updated first — free access to anything already published will not be withdrawn.

4. What you may do with the material

Free does not mean unrestricted. Your account grants a personal, non-transferable licence to use the material for your own learning and in your own work.

You may not:

  • Share, resell, sublicense or redistribute course content, videos or downloadable files — including charging others for material we give away free.
  • Post the material anywhere publicly, or upload it to another platform.
  • Use it to run a competing course or training programme.
  • Strip out branding or attribution.

Everything on the platform — videos, text, frameworks, templates and artwork — remains the intellectual property of Digital Moran.

5. Work you submit

Assignments and reviews you submit remain yours. You grant us a licence to store and display them for the purpose of running the course, marking your work and providing support. We will not publish your assignment work without asking you first.

6. Certificates

A certificate is issued only when you have genuinely completed the course: every lesson, every published quiz at or above the pass mark, and every published assignment. It cannot be marked complete by hand.

Each certificate carries a unique serial and can be verified publicly. A certificate confirms you completed this course — it is not a professional or academic qualification, and it is not accredited by any regulator.

We may revoke a certificate obtained dishonestly, and will say why.

7. What we promise, and what we do not

We will provide the material described, keep the platform reasonably available, and support you when something goes wrong.

We do not guarantee employment, income or any particular outcome. The skills are real and taught properly, but what happens next depends on your effort, your market and circumstances outside anyone’s control. Nothing here is financial, legal or investment advice.

Content may be updated or improved over time. Courses are occasionally retired when the software they teach changes beyond recognition.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the platform running continuously, but cannot promise uninterrupted access — maintenance happens, and so do failures at our hosting providers. We are not liable for losses caused by temporary unavailability.

9. Liability

The service is provided free of charge. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim arising from it is limited to KES 10,000 — stated as a figure because a cap set at “what you paid us” would be nothing at all.

Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Ending it

You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may end your access if you materially breach these terms — in particular by redistributing the material.

Sections on intellectual property, liability and governing law survive the end of this agreement.

11. Your data

How we handle your personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction. If something goes wrong, please contact us first — most things are resolved with an email.
